Three modes
When to use which mode
Every edit starts with one decision: how far may the tool go? Bildplattform makes that decision visible with three modes. Enhance corrects, Enliven adds warmth, Restyle changes the room. The further you go, the more clearly the result is labelled.
Enhance: light, colour, perspective
Enhance is the everyday mode and the right choice for nine photos out of ten. Exposure, white balance, sharpness, contrast and converging verticals are brought into balance. Two options sit on top: a sunny sky over the facade, and distractions such as bins, cables or parked cars removed.
Use it when the property is fine and only the photo is not: a dark living room at noon, a yellow cast from the ceiling lamp, a facade under a dull November sky. Enhance shows the same rooms a viewer will see on site, just photographed well. Light, colour and crop need no AI label; if you swap the sky, the download reminds you to add one.
Enliven: lively details
Enliven goes one step further. Flat, cool light turns warm and inviting, rooms gain depth, surfaces get texture back.
Use it when a room is correctly exposed but feels lifeless, typically for a cover photo or the first three images in a listing. Nothing structural changes, no furniture is added, so the honesty of the photo is kept. Because the mode works generatively, we assess the label case by case and point it out at download where the change is substantial.
Restyle: furnish, empty, refurbish
Restyle changes what is in the room. An empty flat is furnished virtually, a cluttered one is emptied, a dated one is shown refurbished or its furniture is swapped for a different style. Ten furniture styles are available, from Scandinavian to classic, so a family home and a city loft do not end up with the same sofa.
Use it when a viewer cannot read the room: an empty new build, an inherited house full of belongings, a kitchen from 1985 whose floor plan is fine. Every result from this mode is a generated image, and the download asks you for the label; see the next section.
Virtual home staging and the labelling duty
Virtual home staging (virtual staging) furnishes an empty room digitally so that buyers can picture living in it. It is one of the most effective edits in a listing and, since 2 August 2026, one of the most clearly regulated in Germany: virtually placed furniture, a refurbished room or a replaced sky count as AI-generated content and must carry a visible label. Light, colour, sharpness and crop do not.
Bildplattform reminds you. Every download from Restyle, and every sky replacement, offers the label as a switch with a note beside it; pure corrections from Enhance leave the tool without either. The label is not a disadvantage. A buyer who was told the furniture is virtual sees a professional; one who was not feels misled at the viewing.
